Description2-Hydroxy-22-methyl-N-(1,3,4-trihydroxypentadecan-2-yl)tricosanimidic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as n-acyl amines. N-acyl amines are compounds containing a fatty acid moiety linked to an amine group through an ester linkage. 2-hydroxy-22-methyl-n-(1,3,4-trihydroxypentadecan-2-yl)tricosanimidic acid is found in Erimacrus isenbeckii. 2-Hydroxy-22-methyl-N-(1,3,4-trihydroxypentadecan-2-yl)tricosanimidic acid is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
