DescriptionTriptotriterpenic acid A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. (2s,4s,4ar,6as,6br,8ar,10s,12ar,12br,14bs)-4,10-dihydroxy-2,4a,6a,6b,9,9,12a-heptamethyl-1,3,4,5,6,7,8,8a,10,11,12,12b,13,14b-tetradecahydropicene-2-carboxylic acid is found in Acanthothamnus aphyllus, Begonia nantoensis, Celastrus hypoleucus, Euonymus laxiflorus, Gymnosporia diversifolia, Plenckia populnea, Salacia chinensis, Salacia oblonga, Salacia reticulata, Tripterygium regelii and Tripterygium wilfordii. It was first documented in 2022 (PMID: 35763252). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on triptotriterpenic acid A (PMID: 36075691) (PMID: 36075690) (PMID: 36075689) (PMID: 36075688) (PMID: 36075687).
