Description2-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-4-oxo-3-{[(2S,3S,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-4H-chromen-8-yl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Purifolin is found in Atraphaxis muschketovii and Atraphaxis pyrifolia. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-4-oxo-3-{[(2S,3S,4R,5R,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-methyloxan-2-yl]oxy}-4H-chromen-8-yl acetate.
