Description(1R,5R)-1alpha,8-Dimethyl-4alpha-isopropylspiro[4.5]Deca-8-ene-7beta-ol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as secondary alcohols. Secondary alcohols are compounds containing a secondary alcohol functional group, with the general structure HOC(R)(R') (R,R'=alkyl, aryl). (+)-(3R)-hydroxy-4-acorene is found in Jungermannia infusca and Trichoderma koningii. It was first documented in 2001 (Nagashima, F., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,5R)-1alpha,8-Dimethyl-4alpha-isopropylspiro[4.5]Deca-8-ene-7beta-ol.
