DescriptionMethyl (2E,6E)-3,5-dimethoxy-4-methyl-7-{2-[2-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-1,3-thiazol-4-yl]-1,3-thiazol-4-yl}hepta-2,6-dienoate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 2,4-disubstituted thiazoles. 2,4-Disubstituted thiazoles are compounds containing a thiazole ring substituted at the positions 2 and 3. Melithiazol B is found in Archangium gephyra, Melittangium, Melittangium lichenicola and Melittangium lichenicolum. It was first documented in 1999 (PMID: 10580385). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on methyl (2E,6E)-3,5-dimethoxy-4-methyl-7-{2-[2-(prop-1-en-2-yl)-1,3-thiazol-4-yl]-1,3-thiazol-4-yl}hepta-2,6-dienoate.
